Indian Railways launched the National Centre for HR Information Systems, Research and Analytics in Governance (CHIRAG) at Moula-Ali, Hyderabad, to strengthen digital HR governance and data-driven decision-making across the railway network.
The centre was inaugurated by V.G. Bhooma in the presence of senior railway officials, including Aparna Garg and Sanjay Kumar Srivastava. The foundation stone for the upcoming facility was also laid during the event. Developed under Indian Railways Institute of Financial Management, CHIRAG will serve as a national training and research hub for HRMS, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and predictive analytics in railway human resource management.
The project is expected to be fully completed by May 2028. Officials said the centre will support role-based HR training, develop HRMS master trainers, strengthen policy research and expand digital learning infrastructure across Indian Railways. A tree plantation drive was also held to mark the occasion.
