Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar paid floral tributes to the statues of several iconic leaders and social reformers at the Vidhana Soudha premises in Bengaluru.
The Chief Minister honored the memories of Maharshi Valmiki, Saint Kanakadasa, Mother Bhuvaneshwari, former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, former Deputy Prime Minister Jagjivan Ram, and former Karnataka Chief Ministers K.C. Reddy, Kengal Hanumanthaiah, S. Nijalingappa, and Devaraj Urs.
Speaking on the occasion, Shivakumar said the government is committed to following the ideals and values of these distinguished leaders who contributed immensely to Karnataka and the nation. He emphasized that the administration will continue working for the welfare, progress, and inclusive development of every citizen while striving for the overall advancement of society.
The tribute ceremony reflected the government's resolve to uphold the legacy of leaders who championed social justice, good governance, and public service.
