Shivamogga, Karnataka | July 8:

Relentless monsoon showers have disrupted normal life across parts of Shivamogga district in Karnataka, forcing authorities to suspend classes in several educational institutions as a precautionary measure.

District officials announced the closure of schools and colleges in rain-affected areas after continuous downpours led to waterlogging, swollen streams and concerns over student safety during travel.

The heavy rainfall has impacted daily activities in many parts of the district, with local authorities closely monitoring river levels and low-lying regions vulnerable to flooding. Emergency teams have been placed on alert to respond to any weather-related incidents.
