A tragic incident has shocked Telangana after an 8-year-old student died from a snakebite suffered inside his classroom at a government school in Narayanpet district. The heartbreaking incident has raised serious concerns over student safety in government schools during the monsoon season.
The victim, identified as Ranjith, a Class 3 student from the Government Primary School in Eklaspur village, was attending classes on Thursday when a snake allegedly bit him inside the classroom. Teachers immediately rushed the child to a nearby government hospital for emergency treatment.
Despite the doctors' efforts, Ranjith succumbed to the venom while undergoing treatment. His sudden death left his family devastated and plunged the entire village into mourning.
The incident has triggered outrage among parents and residents, who questioned how a venomous snake entered a classroom. They demanded immediate safety audits, proper sanitation, and snake-control measures in schools to prevent similar tragedies.
With snake sightings increasing during the monsoon, locals have urged the education department and district authorities to inspect school premises and strengthen safety protocols to protect students.
