Taking to his social media platform Truth Social, Trump revealed that a 10-day ceasefire agreement will come into effect starting 5 PM local time on April 16. The announcement comes amid heightened tensions in the region, raising cautious optimism among international observers.

Trump described the conversation between the Lebanese and Israeli leaders as “excellent,” emphasizing that both sides showed willingness to move toward peace. While there has been no immediate official confirmation from either Beirut or Jerusalem, the statement has sparked global attention.

Highlighting his role, Trump claimed that he has already helped resolve nine global conflicts and expressed confidence that this would mark the tenth successful intervention. “It is an honor to bring peace,” he stated, urging all parties to ensure the ceasefire holds

. Analysts, however, remain skeptical until formal statements are issued and the ceasefire is implemented on the ground. The coming days will be crucial in determining whether this announcement leads to lasting peace or remains a diplomatic claim without tangible outcomes.
