South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava held a coordination meeting with Telangana Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and senior state officials at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad on Wednesday to review major railway infrastructure projects in Telangana. The meeting focused on ongoing and proposed projects including Road Over Bridges, Road Under Bridges, new railway lines, station development works, and station approach roads across the state. Railway officials sought Telangana Government’s support for land acquisition, NOCs, traffic diversion, utility shifting, and cost-sharing to speed up project execution. Discussions were also held on proposed high-speed rail corridors connecting Hyderabad with Bengaluru, Chennai, and Pune, along with the Regional Ring Rail project.
SCR GM stated that timely completion of railway infrastructure projects will boost public convenience and contribute to Telangana’s economic growth. Telangana Chief Secretary emphasized the need for regular coordination meetings and stronger cooperation between the Railways and State Government for faster implementation of development projects.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to work jointly for timely completion of railway projects in public interest.
