On Friday, there was a significant influx of devotees at the Sri Kanakadurga Temple. Due to the summer season and the high intensity of the heat, devotees flocked in large numbers from morning until 1:30 PM.
As the heat intensified further, the crowd of devotees gradually decreased. In view of temple traditions and crowd control, the inner sanctum darshan was temporarily halted at 10:30 AM. Subsequently, the inner sanctum darshan was resumed at 1:40 PM, allowing devotees to enter. The temple administration officer personally inspected the temple queue lines and reviewed the facilities provided to the devotees.
Instructions were issued to the staff to ensure that the darshan proceeded smoothly. Considering the summer heat, they were advised to provide continuous drinking water and buttermilk to the devotees in the queue, as well as to monitor the cooling tents set up for protection from the sun. The EO emphasized that the staff should interact courteously with the devotees to ensure that the darshan is completed swiftly.
