The coronavirus is causing concern once again in Andhra Pradesh. The health department has become alert following the deaths of two individuals from the YSR Kadapa district due to the virus on Tuesday.
One of the deceased is a 43-year-old man, while the other has been identified as a senior citizen over 60 years old. Reports indicate that both tested positive for coronavirus in RT-PCR tests. The 43-year-old man lost his life while undergoing treatment at Kadapa RIMS Hospital, while the other individual over 60 years old died while receiving treatment at CMC Vellore Hospital in Tamil Nadu.
However, Kadapa district officials have taken steps to send blood samples of the deceased to a virology lab in Pune for final confirmation. Clarity on whether the coronavirus was the cause of their deaths is expected only after the reports come in.
With the deaths of the two individuals, fears of a resurgence of coronavirus have begun again in the district. While the health department is closely monitoring the situation, medical experts are advising the public to take precautions.
More details regarding this incident are awaited.
