Former Prime Minister Under Pressure in Jail? | Is There a Plan Similar to Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto? | Opposition Parties Ready for All-Party Meeting
Islamabad: Another sensational controversy has emerged in Pakistan's politics. Opposition leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai has alleged that attempts are being made to negotiate an agreement for former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan to leave the country while he is in jail.
Is there really any agreement in place for Imran Khan to leave the country? Or is this part of political pressure? Clarity is needed on this matter. Official confirmation regarding Achakzai's allegations is yet to be released. He commented that a strategy is being devised for Imran Khan similar to the circumstances that led Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto into exile. Achakzai also alleged that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), which are part of the current government, are also involved in these attempts. However, responses from the relevant parties regarding these allegations are not available in this report. Allegations of behind-the-scenes discussions regarding Imran Khan's political future have become a topic of discussion among political circles in Pakistan.
Achakzai's remarks referencing past leaders who left the country during political crises have gained significance. Meanwhile, he revealed that discussions with opposition parties are ongoing.
He stated that an all-party meeting will be held soon to decide on future actions. This meeting is expected to discuss not only the issue of Imran Khan but also the political situation in the country.
