Rescue operations continued for a second day after a building collapse in Pune left several people trapped beneath the debris. Emergency teams have so far rescued nine people and are intensifying efforts to locate anyone still missing.
Personnel from disaster response agencies, firefighters and local authorities are carrying out round-the-clock search operations using heavy equipment and specialized rescue tools. The challenging conditions created by unstable debris and wet weather have slowed progress but teams remain on site.
Officials said the priority remains saving lives and ensuring the safety of rescue workers as the search continues. Authorities have also begun examining the circumstances surrounding the collapse.
More details are expected as rescue teams continue their operation and officials provide further updates.
