Hyderabad: Three minor girls who went missing from Hyderabad were safely traced in Chhattisgarh after an intensive week-long search carried out by Hyderabad Police.
The girls, who disappeared from the Domalguda area, were located with the help of coordinated efforts between Telangana and Chhattisgarh police. Investigators tracked their movements by reviewing CCTV footage from multiple locations and gathering information from railway stations and other transit points.
Police found that the girls had travelled by train to Chhattisgarh. After receiving credible leads, local police there located the children and informed Hyderabad officials. A police team then brought the girls back to the city.
The girls have been placed under care for medical examination and counselling before being reunited with their families, in accordance with legal procedures.
Preliminary inquiries suggest the girls left home on their own following personal or family-related issues. Police are continuing their investigation and have advised parents and guardians to report missing children immediately to improve the chances of a quick rescue.
