 Tragedy has struck after medico Priyanka, who was critically injured in a shocking hit-and-run incident in Rajahmundry, succumbed to her injuries on Sunday.

Priyanka had been undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad after suffering severe injuries in the accident. Doctors declared her dead on Sunday afternoon. 

According to police, the incident took a serious turn after the accused allegedly hit Priyanka with the car three times. East Godavari SP Narasimha Kishore said an attempt-to-murder case had been registered against the accused.

The incident has triggered outrage, with questions being raised over reckless driving and the alleged conduct of those involved. Police are continuing their investigation and are examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.
