The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to develop a cutting-edge indoor cricket complex aimed at boosting training standards across the country. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said the initiative will provide players with access to year-round practice facilities regardless of weather conditions.
The proposed facility will feature advanced practice pitches, bowling machines, indoor nets, fitness centres, and recovery areas designed to meet international standards. Officials believe the complex will play a key role in nurturing young talent and strengthening India’s cricket ecosystem from the grassroots level.
Saikia emphasized that indoor infrastructure is essential for consistent training, especially during extreme weather, and will help players focus on skill development without interruptions.
Sources indicate that Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the facility once construction is completed, although an official date has not yet been announced
The project reflects BCCI’s broader vision to expand modern cricket infrastructure and ensure aspiring players across regions have access to top-class training environments.
