The Indian Men’s Hockey Team wrapped up the FIH Hockey Pro League 2025–26 with a strong finish, signalling they are finding top form just in time for the World Cup and Asian Games.
After a slow start in Rourkela, India steadily improved through the Hobart leg before delivering standout performances in Europe. The side stunned reigning world champions Germany 3-1, edged Olympic champions the Netherlands 3-2, secured two impressive wins over Pakistan, including a dominant 7-1 victory, and pushed England to the limit with two regulation-time draws, winning one shootout.
The European leg highlighted India's growing strength in both attack and defence, with multiple players contributing goals rather than relying on a single star. Head coach Craig Fulton praised the team's composure, consistency and ability to compete with the world's best, while captain Harmanpreet Singh said the campaign has boosted the squad's confidence.
With momentum firmly on their side, India now head into the World Cup and Asian Games believing they can challenge for the biggest honours in international hockey.
