In a sharp and critical reaction, Bhuvanagiri MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of “deliberately misleading the nation” with his recent statements in Parliament on Naxalism and Congress leaders. The Congress MP alleged that Shah’s claim of eliminating Naxalism by March 31, 2026, was unrealistic and aimed at creating a false narrative for political gains. He further criticized Shah for dragging Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi into the debate, calling it a “desperate attempt to defame Congress.” Kiran Kumar Reddy said the BJP leadership is “intentionally twisting facts” about Gaddar to mislead voters ahead of key Assembly elections. He pointed out that Gaddar had already renounced Maoist ideology years ago and accused Shah of ignoring facts for political mileage. He also questioned the BJP’s “double standards,” noting that Gaddar had previously shared a मंच with top BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, during a public meeting in 2022. Calling the remarks “irresponsible and politically motivated,” the Congress leader said the BJP’s only agenda is to malign Rahul Gandhi and distract from governance failures. He warned that such statements could mislead voters and create unnecessary political tension, urging the Centre to stop “spreading misinformation” and focus on real issues.
