Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar expressed deep grief over the loss of lives. Visiting the hospital, he met the bereaved families and offered condolences. He also enquired about the condition of the injured undergoing treatment and directed officials to ensure that all necessary medical assistance is provided without delay.
Later, Shivakumar visited the accident site to assess the situation firsthand. Authorities have been instructed to take immediate measures to prevent such incidents in the future, especially during extreme weather conditions affecting urban infrastructure.
The state government has announced a compensation of ₹5 lakh each for the families of the deceased, reaffirming its commitment to stand by them during this difficult time. Rescue and relief operations were carried out swiftly, and efforts are ongoing to restore normalcy in the affected areas.
Prayers have been offered for the departed souls, while hopes remain that the injured recover at the earliest.
