Shiv Pratap Shukla took the oath of office as the new Governor of Telangana in a grand ceremony held at Lok Bhavan.

Shiv Pratap Shukla took the oath as the new Governor of Telangana on Wednesday.

In a ceremony held at the Lok Bhavan in Hyderabad, the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, Aparesha Kumar Singh, administered the oath to him as Governor. The event was attended by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, cabinet members, several public representatives, and senior officials.

A senior political leader from Uttar Pradesh, Shiv Pratap Shukla has previously served as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. He has also held key responsibilities as the Minister of State for Finance in the central government and as a member of the Rajya Sabha. Many leaders expressed optimism that his extensive political experience will guide the development of Telangana state.
