Hyderabad, March 20 Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that significant changes are set to be introduced in the education policy of Telangana. His comments regarding the consideration of abolishing the 10th-grade (SSC) examinations have sparked discussions across the state. He stated that the government aims to ensure that the future education policy is more comprehensive and enhances the capabilities of students. Keeping in mind the Plus-2 system implemented across the country, he mentioned that fundamental changes will also be made in the education system in Telangana.

The government is contemplating studying various educational models at the national level to introduce a new policy that reduces pressure on students. It appears that the intention behind eliminating the 10th-grade board examinations is to strengthen the Continuous Assessment system. However, there has been a mixed response from educators, parents, and students regarding this decision. While some welcome it as a progressive move, others express concerns about the potential impact on educational standards.
