Justice for the victim through police efforts: Mahbubnagar SP D. Janaki

In a murder attempt case registered in Nawabpet, Mahbubnagar district, the court has sentenced three accused to four years of imprisonment.

In a murder attempt case registered within the Nawabpet police station limits of Mahbubnagar district, the honorable court has sentenced three accused to four years of rigorous imprisonment. District SP Ms. D. Janaki, IPS, stated that justice has been served to the victim due to the effective investigation by the police. This incident occurred on January 31, 2023, in the Channareddipalli village due to a land dispute.

According to the details of the case, the accused Yerukali Venkataiah (A1), Yerukali Srinu (A2), and Yerukali Mallesh (A3) attempted to murder the victim Yerukali Chennayya. As per the premeditated plan, A1 and A3 attacked with sticks, while A2 stabbed with a knife. The victim sustained severe injuries to the head, shoulders, back, and arms during the attack. A case was registered at the Nawabpet police station on February 1, 2023, and the police responded swiftly, arresting the accused on February 2. The case was registered under crime number 31/2023, and a comprehensive investigation was initiated.

After the investigation, the Mahbubnagar Principal Assistant Sessions Court delivered its verdict. Honorable Judge Mr. V. Eeshwarayya sentenced each of the three accused to four years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a total fine of ₹6,000 (₹2,000 each). Additionally, the court ordered that a total compensation of ₹30,000 (₹10,000 from each accused) be paid to the victim. District SP D. Janaki congratulated the then SI G. Purushottam, Additional Public Representative Mohammed Awaiz, current SHO Vikram SI, Assistant Sessions Court Liaison Officer K. Narsimha, and the relevant police personnel for their effective handling of the case, ensuring that the accused were punished. The SP emphasized that the district police are committed to public safety and will take stringent action against those involved in such crimes.
