Vikarabad Police Conduct Anti-Desecration Drill to Address Communal Issues

Vikarabad police conducted a one-day anti-desecration drill under the leadership of SP Sneha Mehra to address communal tensions, manage rumors, and reinforce law and order.

Vikarabad, March 26, 2026: In a proactive move to strengthen law and order and effectively handle sudden communal disturbances, a one-day Anti-Desecration Drill training program was conducted for police personnel under the supervision of District SP Sneha Mehra. The training session, held at the district police headquarters, saw participation from Blue Colts teams, patrol car staff, and senior officers including DSPs, Inspectors, and Sub-Inspectors. Addressing the gathering, the SP emphasized the need for constant vigilance against elements that may attempt to disturb communal harmony. She highlighted the importance of taking preventive measures to ensure that religious sentiments are not hurt.

Key Highlights of the Training:

PPT Presentation: Detailed guidelines on “Dos and Don’ts” during communal disturbances, preventive strategies, and peace maintenance tactics.

Focus Areas: Curbing provocative speeches, monitoring and controlling social media rumours, and ensuring balanced yet firm policing.

Operational Instructions: Blue Colts and patrol teams were directed to respond swiftly to incidents and report immediately to senior officers. Following the classroom session, a mock drill was conducted at the police parade ground. The demonstration included crowd control techniques, securing sensitive areas, and coordinated response strategies during emergencies.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Sneha Mehra stated, “Police must remain alert to ensure public safety. Timely and composed action can prevent escalation and maintain peace. Such training programs boost confidence and preparedness among personnel.”

Officials Present: Additional SP B. Ramulu Naik, DSP Srinivasulu (DTC), DSP Janayya (DCRB), DSP Srinivas Reddy (Vikarabad), DSP Srinivas (Pargi), DSP Narsing Yadayya (Tandur), AR DSP Veeresh, along with Circle Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, and other staff participated in the program. The initiative reflects the district police’s commitment to maintaining communal harmony and enhancing rapid response capabilities in sensitive situations.
