Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made strong remarks in the State Legislative Assembly, asserting that his government will not tolerate any irregularities that harm government revenue. Addressing the House, the Chief Minister revealed that notices were issued to Raghava Constructions as part of a crackdown on alleged violations. He stated that the Mining Department had already imposed fines on the company, emphasizing that the action was initiated proactively by the government and not merely based on external complaints. Revanth Reddy alleged that certain individuals were attempting to malign ministers and resorting to blackmail tactics after failing to secure favors. “The government will not bow to such pressure or blackmail,” he asserted firmly. In a major announcement, the Chief Minister ordered a probe by the Crime Branch-Criminal Investigation Department (CBCID) into multiple illegal mining cases across the state. He assured that the investigation would bring out the truth. The cases to be probed include alleged irregularities linked to sand mining operations in Sirisilla involving Santosh Rao and his father Ravinder Rao. The government also expressed readiness to investigate illegal granite mining allegations connected to former minister Gangula Kamalakar. Additionally, allegations of illegal mining involving a company associated with Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra will also come under the scanner. The Chief Minister reiterated that all cases, including those involving Raghava Constructions, will be thoroughly investigated by CBCID, ensuring transparency and accountability.
