Hyderabad ‘Gold Man’ Vijay Kumar Faces IT Raids Over Assets Case

Hyderabad: Vijay Kumar, a resident of Serilingampally in Hyderabad, popularly known on social media as the ‘Gold Man’, has come under the radar of the Income Tax Department. Officials recently conducted searches following allegations that he possesses assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. Vijay Kumar gained widespread attention for wearing nearly 5 to 12 kilograms of gold ornaments, a signature style that earned him viral fame across platforms. Apart from his flamboyant image, he is also associated with charitable activities through the Hope Foundation, under which he reportedly undertakes various social service initiatives. According to sources, the IT department initiated these inspections based on complaints regarding unexplained wealth accumulation. During the searches, officials are believed to have examined financial records, assets, and other relevant documents. Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the findings. However, depending on what emerges from the ongoing investigation, the case is expected to take further turns in the coming days.
