A Liberia-flagged crude oil tanker Shenlong oil tanker, captained by an Indian national, has entered Indian waters near Mumbai Port carrying a shipment of crude oil loaded from Saudi Arabia’s major export terminal Ras Tanura Port. According to maritime tracking sources, the vessel transported crude oil from Saudi Arabia and arrived near the Mumbai coastline as part of routine international oil supply operations to India. Authorities are closely monitoring the tanker’s movement as it approaches the port for further docking procedures. Officials said the vessel is expected to undergo standard maritime and customs clearance before the crude cargo is transferred to refineries for processing. The arrival comes at a time when global energy markets remain volatile due to ongoing geopolitical tensions. India imports a significant portion of its crude oil requirements from Middle Eastern producers, with shipments frequently arriving at major ports including Mumbai. Maritime authorities have confirmed that security and safety protocols are being strictly followed for the tanker’s entry and cargo handling.
