A Lufthansa Boeing 787 Dreamliner experienced a nose-gear collapse while parked at a gate at Frankfurt Airport on Thursday, injuring several crew members and ground personnel.
The aircraft was being prepared for a scheduled flight to Los Angeles when the front landing gear suddenly gave way, causing the nose of the aircraft to drop to the ground. Passengers had not yet boarded at the time of the incident.
Emergency teams responded quickly, and the injured were provided medical assistance. Airport operations in the affected area were temporarily disrupted while authorities secured the scene.
Lufthansa confirmed the aircraft has been taken out of service, and an investigation has been launched to determine what caused the landing gear failure. Boeing is expected to assist in the inquiry.
No passengers were injured, and officials said there was no immediate danger to airport operations beyond the affected gate area.
