Tehran:
Iran has sharply condemned recent US military strikes, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi alleging that the attacks on the country's critical infrastructure amount to war crimes under international law.
Speaking amid heightened regional tensions, Araghchi claimed the strikes targeted facilities vital to the country's functioning and violated both international legal norms and the principles outlined in the United Nations Charter.
The Iranian minister warned that individuals and authorities responsible for ordering or carrying out the attacks would face legal scrutiny and could be held accountable through international mechanisms.
Iran has indicated that it plans to raise the issue before global institutions and pursue legal and diplomatic measures in response to the strikes, which Tehran views as an infringement on its sovereignty.
The latest accusations come as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue to rise, fueling concerns about wider instability in the Middle East and potential disruptions to regional security and global energy markets.
