New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leader Abhijeet Dipke has criticised the closure of 16 Delhi Metro stations during the ongoing student protests, accusing the Union government of prioritising restrictions over accountability in the alleged examination paper leak controversy.
Responding to the Delhi Metro station closures, Dipke alleged that the Centre was prepared to impose sweeping restrictions across the national capital but was unwilling to take political responsibility by removing Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
He said shutting Metro stations had caused inconvenience to thousands of commuters and argued that the government's focus should be on addressing students' concerns rather than limiting public movement.
The Metro closures come amid heightened security arrangements around protest locations in Delhi, where students and activists continue to demand action over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak. Authorities have imposed traffic and transport restrictions in several areas to maintain law and order.
The protests have continued for several days, with demonstrators seeking accountability and reforms in the examination system, while security remains tight across parts of the capital.
