Islamabad, April 3, 2026 Fuel prices in Pakistan have once again surged dramatically, placing a severe burden on the common people. With the latest increase, petrol and diesel prices have reached record levels, further exacerbating the economic crisis. The price of petrol has been raised by Rs. 137 per liter, while diesel has seen an increase of Rs. 184. The price of kerosene has also been raised by Rs. 34.08 per liter. With these increases, the current price of petrol stands at Rs. 458.40, diesel at Rs. 520.35, and kerosene at Rs. 457.80. These hikes are set to take effect from Friday, as announced by Pakistan's Minister of Petroleum, Malik, according to local newspaper Dawn.

Amidst the backdrop of increasing regional tensions due to U.S.-Israel attacks on Iran, reports indicate that fuel supplies in Pakistan have been severely disrupted. In a country already grappling with an economic crisis, these price hikes are pushing the populace further into hardship. With transportation costs soaring, the prices of essential goods are also skyrocketing. Public dissatisfaction with the government is growing, and criticism is mounting over its failure to stabilize the economy.
