Delhi Breaking: Rahul Gandhi Slams BJP After Uttam Nagar Violence

After violence in Uttam Nagar, Rahul Gandhi targets BJP over alleged divisive politics and urges Delhi citizens to stay united and avoid provocation.

India

Tensions continue to simmer in Uttam Nagar following recent violence that claimed the life of a young man, identified as Tarun, while another family reportedly faced severe harassment. The incident has triggered a strong political reaction, with leaders urging restraint and peace among residents. In a sharply worded statement, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged that the violence reflects a larger pattern of divisive politics. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its ecosystem of exploiting communal tensions for political gains. Gandhi further claimed that such incidents distract from key national issues, including defense preparedness, energy security, food security, and strategic sovereignty. He alleged that the government is deliberately allowing unrest to divert public attention from these concerns. Appealing directly to the people of Delhi, Gandhi urged citizens not to fall prey to provocation and emphasized that unity, harmony, and mutual respect remain the country’s greatest strengths. Meanwhile, authorities have increased vigilance in the area to prevent further escalation, and efforts are underway to restore normalcy.
