Arlington, April 8: In a strong signal of growing military alignment, top leadership from the United States Air Force and the Indian Air Force convened in Arlington for high-level talks aimed at advancing defence cooperation and operational synergy.

U.S. Air Force Chief General Kenneth Wilsbach hosted India’s Air Chief Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh with full honours, highlighting the importance both nations attach to their evolving strategic partnership. The meeting comes at a time when Indo-Pacific security dynamics continue to demand closer collaboration between like-minded allies.

Key discussions revolved around improving interoperability between the two air forces, scaling up joint exercises, and strengthening technological and operational capabilities.

Both sides also stressed the importance of knowledge exchange and adapting to emerging multi-domain threats, including cyber and space warfare. The Indian delegation’s itinerary extended beyond formal meetings, with strategic visits to Peterson Space Force Base and Nellis Air Force Base. These engagements offered insights into advanced U.S. air and space operations, reflecting a broader scope of defence cooperation.

In a notable moment, Air Chief Marshal Singh experienced a familiarisation sortie aboard the state-of-the-art F-15EX Eagle II, gaining firsthand exposure to one of the most advanced fighter platforms in the U.S. arsenal.

The visit underscores a shared commitment by India and the United States to reinforce defence ties, enhance readiness, and maintain stability in a rapidly evolving global security environment.
