Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has intensified his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming, “We get very good information these days,” while questioning whether Norway’s sovereign pension fund acted on a “personal request” from the PM to remove the Adani Group from its blacklist.
Rahul Gandhi indirectly alleged that there is high-level influence behind international financial decisions linked to the Adani Group, triggering fresh political heat in Delhi.
He further asked whether the government had any role in easing restrictions or influencing the stance of the Government Pension Fund of Norway, one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, which had earlier flagged concerns related to investments connected to the Adani conglomerate.
The BJP has not yet issued an official response to these remarks, but the statement is expected to escalate the ongoing political battle between the opposition and the Centre over allegations surrounding the Adani Group and foreign institutional investors.
