Rahul Gandhi Targets Centre Over CBSE Evaluation Controversy

Rahul Gandhi criticises the Centre over the CBSE evaluation controversy, seeking transparency and accountability while urging authorities to address students' concerns.

India

New Delhi, May 31:

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has questioned the Centre over concerns raised by students regarding the CBSE evaluation process, calling for greater transparency and accountability in the examination system.

The Congress leader alleged that several students have reported issues related to the assessment and digitisation of answer sheets. He urged authorities to address the concerns promptly and ensure that students receive fair evaluation.

Gandhi said that students and parents deserve clear answers on the functioning of the evaluation process and called for an independent review of the complaints. He maintained that the credibility of public examinations must be protected through transparent procedures.

The remarks come amid an ongoing debate over the implementation of digital evaluation methods and allegations of discrepancies in scanned answer sheets. Student groups and parents have sought clarification from education authorities on the matter.

CBSE has defended its evaluation mechanism, stating that established procedures are being followed and that safeguards are in place to ensure accuracy and fairness in the assessment process.
