New Delhi: The agitation over alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2026 examination intensified as protesters at Jantar Mantar vowed to continue their sit-in until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.
"We won't leave Jantar Mantar until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns. We are here and waiting for more protesters to join us," CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said while addressing demonstrators.
The protest has gained momentum with students and activists demanding accountability over the conduct of the examination. Demonstrators accused the authorities of failing to ensure a fair and transparent process and called for stronger action over the alleged irregularities.
Security has been tightened around the protest site as more participants are expected to join the agitation. The developments come amid growing political pressure and nationwide concerns over the credibility of competitive examinations.
