Priyanka Gandhi Criticizes Centre Over Student Protest Crackdown, Seeks Debate on Education Policy

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi criticizes the Centre over police action on student protesters, urging a debate on education policy and dialogue instead of force.

India

New Delhi: Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday criticized the Centre over the handling of student protests, alleging that the government was avoiding a discussion on concerns related to the education policy.

Addressing reporters, she said there were serious issues that deserved parliamentary discussion. She also questioned the use of force against protesting students, alleging that tear gas and police action were used instead of engaging in dialogue.

Priyanka said students were raising legitimate concerns and urged the government to listen to them rather than suppress their protests. She appealed for constructive discussions to address issues in the education sector.
