New Delhi, July 26: The Delhi Taxi, Tourism, and Tour Operators Association is ready to fight against the Ethanol-blended Petrol (E20) policy, announcing a massive foot march to Parliament on August 4. The association claims that transportation sector workers across the country are facing issues such as reduced mileage of vehicles, impaired engine performance, and increased maintenance costs due to ethanol-mixed petrol.

Sanjay Samrat, president of the Transporters Association, questioned, "When people are paying the full price for petrol, why is only ethanol-blended fuel being provided? Why is the central government creating a situation that raises questions about quality while continuously increasing fuel prices?"

He noted that since the implementation of the Ethanol 20 policy, vehicle owners from several states have reported a decrease in fuel efficiency and an increase in vehicle maintenance costs. The association demands that the government review this policy and address the concerns of vehicle operators.

Organizers have indicated that taxi drivers, tour operators, and transport associations from across the country are likely to participate in the foot march on August 4 in large numbers. This protest may lead to renewed discussions at the national level regarding ethanol-blended petrol.
