Hyderabad | March 20, 2026 News Report: The Telangana government on Friday unveiled a massive ₹3.24 lakh crore Budget for the financial year 2026–27 in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, laying strong emphasis on infrastructure growth, welfare programs, and long-term development under the “Telangana Rising 2047” vision. Presenting the Budget, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka highlighted the government’s commitment to accelerating economic growth while ensuring inclusive development. The total expenditure marks a nearly 20% increase compared to the previous fiscal year, reflecting an expansionary fiscal approach. A key highlight of the Budget is the allocation of ₹47,267 crore towards capital expenditure, aimed at strengthening core infrastructure across the state. Major investments have been proposed for road networks, irrigation systems, and urban infrastructure

The government has also announced significant allocations for the agriculture sector, reinforcing support for farmers through irrigation projects, subsidies, and welfare schemes. Urban development received a major boost, particularly in Hyderabad, with ambitious plans including the Musi Riverfront development and expansion of the Metro Rail network. Officials stated that the “Telangana Rising 2047” vision aims to transform the state into a leading economic powerhouse by focusing on industrial growth, job creation, and sustainable urbanization.
