Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced that the state government is planning to introduce a robust and dedicated system to control food adulteration, similar to existing enforcement models like ‘Eagle’ and ‘Hydra’. Addressing officials, the Chief Minister said that food adulteration has become a serious public health concern and requires strict monitoring and enforcement. He emphasized that the government will study existing laws across the country and develop a comprehensive, foolproof mechanism to tackle the issue effectively. Revanth Reddy stated that the proposed system will focus on identifying adulteration practices, ensuring regular inspections, and taking stringent action against violators. He also underlined the need for coordination between various departments to implement the system efficiently. “The goal is to protect public health and ensure that citizens get safe and quality food,” the Chief Minister said, adding that the government is committed to bringing transparency and accountability into the food supply chain.
