Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla stresses inclusive growth for Viksit Bharat 2047, distributes fellowships to 374 tribal and transgender students at BRAOU, and praises SAMATHA

Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Tuesday emphasized that inclusive growth and equal opportunities are vital to building a just and progressive society, and are central to achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Speaking at the valedictory of Social Empowerment Week held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Jubilee Hills, the Governor distributed Jyothi Reddy Foundation Fellowships to 374 students from tribal and transgender communities pursuing education at the university

. The Governor lauded the SAMATHA and NIPUNA initiatives, highlighting their focus on social empowerment, skill development, and ensuring equitable access to education. He noted that such programs play a crucial role in uplifting marginalized communities and bridging social gaps.

Recalling the birth anniversaries of Babu Jagjivan Ram, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, and B. R. Ambedkar, Shukla urged society to follow their ideals and work towards the empowerment of underprivileged sections

. He described the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, which provides 33% reservation for women in Parliament and State Assemblies, as a historic reform to strengthen women’s participation in governance.

 The Governor also highlighted the development of Panchteerth sites dedicated to Dr. Ambedkar under the leadership of Narendra Modi

.Outlining the roadmap for Viksit Bharat 2047, Shukla said the Central government is focusing on economic growth, good governance, environmental sustainability, and empowerment of youth, women, farmers, and the poor to position India among the world’s top three economies.

Encouraging students to remain committed to their goals, he concluded with the inspiring words of Swami Vivekananda: “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.”

Deputy Chairman of the Telangana Legislative Council Banda Prakash, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, senior education officials, and representatives of the Jyothi Reddy Foundation were among those present at the event.
