Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager of South Central Railway (SCR), conducted a comprehensive review meeting on the safety of train operations across the zone at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad, on Monday. The meeting was attended by Satya Prakash, Principal Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers of Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal and Nanded divisions through video conferencing.
During the review, the General Manager emphasized the importance of structured and phased inspections, including night inspections by officers and inspectors, to strengthen safety measures in train operations and railway stations across the zone. He also directed officials to focus on safety at crucial areas such as level crossings and power supply systems. Mr. Srivastava stressed the need for proper maintenance of safety equipment and rail fittings to ensure uninterrupted and secure train movement. He stated that a robust safety framework is essential not only for meeting immediate operational requirements but also for ensuring long-term safety of passengers and railway staff.
