A delegation from the Farmers’ Land Rights Protection Committee representing Bhairamangala and Kanchugaranahalli gram panchayats in Bidadi taluk of Bengaluru South district met Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar and submitted a formal petition regarding land-related grievances.
The representatives highlighted concerns over land ownership, protection of farmers’ rights, and administrative hurdles affecting cultivators in the region. They urged the state government to intervene and ensure justice for affected farmers.
Responding to the delegation, D.K. Shivakumar assured them that their concerns would be examined seriously and appropriate action would be taken within the legal framework.
He stated that relevant officials would be directed to look into the matter and issue suitable instructions to resolve the issues in accordance with the law.
The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated that the Karnataka government remains committed to safeguarding farmers’ interests and ensuring that their land rights are protected.
