Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy exuded confidence over the Congress party's prospects in the next Assembly elections, declaring that the party would secure more than 117 seats in the state.
Addressing a public meeting in Khammam, the Chief Minister said the next Assembly elections are expected to be held in May-June 2029. He also stated that the proposed delimitation exercise would increase the number of Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana from 17 to 26 and Assembly constituencies from 119 to 182.
"Once the Assembly strength rises to 182 seats, Congress will win more than 117 seats in the next elections," Revanth Reddy asserted, expressing confidence in the party's growing support base across the state.
The Chief Minister said the Congress government remains focused on welfare and development initiatives and believes the electorate will once again place its trust in the party in the next electoral battle.
