BREAKING: US Claims Strike on Iranian Monitoring Facility Near Strait of Hormuz

US forces claim to have destroyed an Iranian surveillance facility near the Strait of Hormuz, aiming to curb IRGC monitoring of ships and protect global shipping routes.

War News

The United States military has announced that it targeted and destroyed an Iranian surveillance installation allegedly used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to monitor maritime traffic near the Strait of Hormuz.

According to U.S. officials, the facility was located at the Shahid Kalantari Port in Chabahar and played a role in tracking commercial vessels moving through the strategically important waterway. Washington claims the site was also used to support operations targeting ships transiting the region.

American military sources stated that disabling the surveillance infrastructure would reduce the IRGC's ability to monitor and potentially threaten civilian and commercial shipping in the area.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world's busiest shipping routes and a critical passage for global energy supplies. U.S. officials said the action was aimed at maintaining the security of international maritime trade and ensuring uninterrupted movement through the corridor.

Iran has not yet released an official statement regarding the reported strike. The development comes amid heightened tensions in the Gulf region and growing concerns over the security of international shipping lanes.
