Hyderabad | August 14:
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made key remarks on education, social justice, and employment opportunities. After unveiling the statues of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule on Necklace Road in Hyderabad, he elaborated on the government's policies. "Education is the only solution... it is the way... education is the path to place Telangana on the world map," the Chief Minister emphasized.
Inspiration from the Phule couple to prioritize education
Revanth Reddy stated that Jyotirao Phule had proclaimed 150 years ago that education is the only way. He recalled how he not only pursued his education but also educated his wife Savitribai Phule, setting an example. He mentioned that inspired by their thoughts, his government is embarking on fundamental changes in the education system. He commented that education provides self-respect and recognition, enabling individuals to live with dignity. The Chief Minister announced significant measures regarding fee reimbursement to relieve poor and middle-class students from the burden of fees.
He stated that from this academic year, a system is being implemented to pay approximately ₹2,400 crores in fee reimbursement in advance. He revealed that a transparent system is being introduced where students applying online will receive their fee reimbursement in their accounts within a month. He clarified that fees would be paid in advance to ensure that no college can withhold certificates from students on the grounds of unpaid fees.
Jobs require skills, not just certificates
Revanth Reddy remarked that merely having a degree or certificate does not guarantee employment. He stated that the government is working towards providing skills to students from nursery to 12th grade alongside education. He suggested that only by acquiring technical skills can one survive in a competitive world. He noted that countries like Germany and Japan have job opportunities in nursing and technical fields.
ATCs in 119 constituencies... Skills for youth
The Chief Minister announced that in collaboration with Tata, advanced technology centers (ATCs) are being established in 119 constituencies across the state by 2024. He mentioned that students undergoing training at these centers would receive a stipend of ₹2,000 per month. He reiterated that the government's goal is to provide technical skills alongside education.

Jobs for excellence in sports

Revanth's sharp comments on BC census
The Chief Minister stated that to ensure adequate representation for BCs in governance, their population figures must be clear. He mentioned that no one has dared to conduct a BC census in the country, but his government has undertaken a caste census in the state to clarify the numbers of BCs. He emphasized the need to formulate policies based on their population to provide jobs and opportunities for weaker sections.
"Is it just to raise sheep and goats?"
Revanth Reddy strongly criticized the policies of the previous government. He questioned whether the children of BC communities should be limited to raising sheep and goats, stitching shoes, and fishing. "Shouldn't BC children aspire to be IAS, IPS, ministers, and MLAs?" he made sharp remarks. He stated that only education can change destinies and that education is the primary weapon for social change.
The Chief Minister declared that he would work 18 hours a day for the golden future of Telangana youth. He stated that it is the government's responsibility to provide quality education and nutritious food. He called for students to rise to higher positions inspired by the Phule couple, urging them to become doctors, engineers, IAS, IPS officers, and public representatives in legislative assemblies.
Finally, the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appealed to the people, stating, "Such a good opportunity will not come again... this government must continue." He emphasized that education, social justice, skill development, and employment opportunities are what will change the future of Telangana.
