Kolkata, March 29 : Mamata Banerjee has once again launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing the party of attempting to destabilize West Bengal and warning that such actions could cost it politically at the national level. Raising serious concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, she alleged that the BJP, in collusion with the Election Commission of India, is trying to remove genuine voters from the list. She termed the move as a direct threat to democratic values.
“There must be a Lakshman Rekha, but the BJP has crossed all limits. The SIR process will become your political downfall,” Banerjee warned, intensifying her criticism of the saffron party.
