Hyderabad: The Telangana Municipal Employees' Union has urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to order a comprehensive inquiry into the appointments, promotions, and alleged irregularities involving several senior government officials who served during the previous administration. In a representation submitted to the Chief Minister, the union's State President and retired Municipal Commissioner, L. Taj Mohan Reddy, expressed concern over the continued prominence of certain officials who allegedly held influential positions during the previous government. It also called for a detailed investigation into alleged irregularities related to government employee housing allotments and other administrative affairs.
The union further sought inquiries into allegations concerning former transport department officials and retired employees who were granted voluntary retirement. It questioned whether due scrutiny was conducted before approving such retirements and demanded transparency regarding the decisions
. The organization urged the state government to review disciplinary actions taken against employees during the previous administration and ensure justice for affected staff members. The union expressed confidence that the Chief Minister would act to safeguard the interests of Telangana employees and uphold accountability in governance.
