A. VIJAYENDERREDDY:Telangana Minister for Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises, Mohammed Azharuddin, visited Adilabad on Saturday and participated in a series of welfare and development programmes, reaffirming the State Government's commitment to strengthening minority education and inclusive development.
During the visit, the Minister distributed Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) cheques to beneficiaries,
inaugurated Indiramma houses, and formally opened the new TGMREIS Minority Residential Boys School building in Adilabad. He also laid the foundation stones for a new Minority Residential Boys School-II and a Minority Residential Junior College, each to be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹20 crore, taking the total investment in the two educational institutions to ₹40 crore.
Addressing the gathering, Azharuddin said the Congress Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is giving top priority to quality education and minority welfare. He said the new residential institutions will provide modern classrooms, hostels, free education, nutritious food, books and uniforms, enabling students to achieve excellence and pursue careers as doctors, engineers, scientists and civil servants. The Minister further stated that the Telangana Government is committed to promoting education, employment, skill development and self-employment opportunities for minorities, and urged parents to ensure their children make full use of the government's welfare and educational initiatives.
