Tension gripped the outskirts of Moinabad near Hyderabad after police busted an alleged drug party at a farmhouse late Saturday night. Authorities said gunfire was reported from the property, triggering a swift operation by special enforcement teams. According to officials, the farmhouse is believed to belong to a former MLA. Acting on information about a drug party taking place at the location, the EAGLE team conducted a raid. During the operation, some youths allegedly tried to obstruct the officers and created a commotion. Police detained eight people who were reportedly under the influence of narcotics. During the search, officials seized suspected cocaine and a revolver from the premises. Investigators said some individuals at the party allegedly fired shots, leading to panic in the area. Following the incident, SOT (Special Operations Team) personnel were also deployed to the spot to assist in the investigation. Police suspect that several influential individuals, including political figures and VIPs, may have been present at the gathering. Unconfirmed reports suggest that a sitting MLA was also taken into custody for questioning. Authorities are currently verifying the identities of those involved and examining the seized materials.
