The alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak has triggered a massive nationwide scandal after the Rajasthan Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) uncovered what appears to be an organized interstate racket involving suspects from Haryana and Maharashtra. Speaking in Jaipur, Ajay Pal Lamba said that police teams from Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Alwar, Jaipur City, Jaipur Rural, and the SOG jointly questioned over 150 NEET aspirants, along with their friends and parents. The investigation reportedly revealed that the exam paper had reached Rajasthan before the test was conducted.
The case has now been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation, which has registered a formal case and is questioning around 24 suspects identified by the Rajasthan SOG. Officials believe the racket may involve a wider syndicate operating across multiple states.
The scandal has reignited concerns over the integrity of India’s most competitive medical entrance exam, with lakhs of students and parents demanding strict action against those responsible for undermining the future of deserving candidates
As the CBI expands its investigation, pressure is mounting on authorities to expose the full network and ensure that those involved in the alleged leak face the harshest possible punishment under the law.
