New Delhi, May 15:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that the NEET-UG 2026 examination will be conducted again on June 21, 2026, following the cancellation of the original test over allegations of a question paper leak.

The decision comes after widespread reports of irregularities in the conduct of the exam held earlier this month. Authorities later ordered a high-level investigation, and central agencies have been looking into the suspected breach of exam security.

According to officials, lakhs of candidates who appeared for the earlier examination will be required to take the test again. The NTA has clarified that there will be no fresh application process, and revised admit cards along with updated instructions will be released soon on the official portal

. The agency has also urged students to stay alert and depend only on official sources for updates, warning against rumours and misinformation circulating on social media platforms. Enhanced security arrangements are expected to be in place for the re-examination.

NEET-UG remains the primary entrance test for admission to medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH across India. The upcoming re-exam on June 21 is aimed at ensuring transparency and fairness in the selection process.
