As part of the Hindu religious propagation, the 'Maa Swami Mallanna – Maa Chentake' programs are continuing in Chenchugudemula. In this context, the program was grandly inaugurated on Wednesday at Mekalabanda Chenchugudem.
The event was attended by the Executive Officer of the Temple, M. Srinivasarao, ITDA Project Officer P.V.S. Naidu, APD K.P. Nayak, members of the Board of Trustees Gulla Gangamma, Kode Kanthivardhini, among others, along with temple officials and staff, and ITDA staff. Special prayers were conducted for the field administrator, Sri Bayalu Veerabhadrar Swamy.
Subsequently, a procession was held with the Dharma Prachar Ratha from the temple to the Kalyana Vedika set up in Mekalabanda.
On this occasion, the devotees of Chenchu decorated the main street of the village with rangavallulu, giving a grand welcome to the procession. After the procession, the Kalyanotsavam of Sri Swami and the goddesses was conducted according to the scriptures.
The program commenced with a Sankalpam recitation, followed by Maha Ganapati Puja, Kankana Dharana, Yajñopavita Dharana, Gauri Puja, Varapuja, and other Vedic rituals. Subsequently, during the auspicious time of Mangalashtakalam, significant events such as the offering of jeelakarra-bellam, Mangalya Dharana, and Thalambraal were conducted. At the conclusion of the program, re-puja and blessings were performed, and prasadam was distributed to the devotees.
Devotees who participated in the program were provided with Sheshavastralu (Pancha-Kanduva for men and Saree-Ravika for women). The organizers announced that a similar program, 'Maa Swami Mallanna – Maa Chentake,' will also be held on May 7 in Chinthala, Markapuram district.
