The Executive Officer V. K. Sheena Naik stated that the devotees' visits to the Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada are continuing peacefully. With the summer holidays and Friday contributing to the crowd, they mentioned that the visits to the temple are proceeding smoothly as the number of devotees remains at a normal level. On this occasion, the EO inspected all sections of the temple premises on-site and reviewed the facilities provided to the devotees.
With the crowd control measures in place, they reported that the queue lines continued without any interruption, and due to the low public congestion, the inner temple visits were also conducted without any hindrance. In light of the heat intensity, the temple has taken special measures to provide relief to the devotees, including the availability of cool buttermilk and sufficient drinking water, along with overseeing the management of free prasad distribution centers, as stated by EO V. K. Sheena Naik.
They mentioned that the modernization works at Durgaghat, located on the banks of the Krishna River, are progressing rapidly.
To facilitate the devotees performing sacred baths, they noted that the ghats are being beautifully equipped with modern amenities. After the completion of these works, EO V. K. Sheena Naik stated that devotees coming for the darshan of the goddess will have a more convenient opportunity to perform sacred baths in the Krishna River.
